For four days in June and July, friends and family celebrated Steve’s life and times through displays, barbecues, car tours, and activities such as the t-shirt launch. The displays included photo-boards of various events in Steve’s life and career. Even original Ames Performance catalog cover art, used from the 1980s to the early 2000s, was featured.
The celebration continued at the Pontiac-Oakland Club National Convention, which was held at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut this year. The Foundation provided a display vehicle for the show--a 1967 Pontiac Catalina, which had under 10,000 miles. The car was originally from Niantic, Connecticut and has been shown at two previous New England POCI Conventions. At the closing banquet, Steve Peluso of the Yankee chapter presented a powerpoint biography honoring Steve.
It was a summer of celebrating Steve’s vibrant life, making new memories, sharing stories, and remembering the wonderful man that he was.
We hope tours at the Foundation can resume when conditions improve. Small group tours may be possible – please call us at (603)-876-4716 for more information.
